Happy Monday! I broke a nail last week and have had to file them all down to nubbins and want to give them a break. Today I'm sharing two my new recent makeup obsessions. Unfortunately, my digital camera seems to have had trouble focusing, so my apologies for the unfocused images! The two products I want to share with you are the Benefit Roller Lash mascara, and the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz. They're not new, and you've probably seen a lot about them if you're in the beauty scene, but I've finally hopped on the boat myself! I belong to the rewards program at Ulta, and I had a number points racked up. I put them towards purchasing these items!
My friend Maddy has been raving about the Roller Lash, but I'm always one of those people that has to try something before I believe all the hype. She let me test run hers, and I knew I needed to get my own. The Roller Lash promises to curl and lift lashes, and although I think it does deliver a bit on those promises on its own, if you curl your lashes before application, you'll get the wow factor you're looking for. My only minor complaint is that it dries rather quickly, so applying two coats for thickness can be tricky. Lately, I've been pairing this with BB cream, bronzer, filled-in brows, and a tinted lip balm for a put-together look that reads as finished but not over-done.
Speaking of filled-in brows! I've been using the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz for the last couple weeks, and I have a few thoughts on it. For starters, I like that it includes the spoolie. However, I've found that the product isn't as long-wearing as the Browza eyebrow gel pencil I reviewed back in January. I do really love how sharp and precise the tip of the Brow Wiz, and how easily it applies. But with long days and long nights, I think I might go back to my Browza.
Have you tried either of these products? What do you think about them?
